Why Use Hawkeye Repair Estimating?

The inspections provide you with all the information you need to know about the condition of the property. This is only Half of it. 

Next, you need to know how much it will cost to make these repairs or corrections. This is why we created a Home Repair Estimating service.

Getting you the numbers you need, when you need them. No other companies in the area are providing this needed service.


We know it’s a struggle to try and get Contractors out to the property to get some sort of estimate on how much the repairs will cost when you’re up against a timeline during escrow.


Contractors are very busy, and they don’t really want to take the time to provide estimates when you don’t even own the property yet. Not for free anyway.


We have a California General Contractors license #108512, but the Estimate is for Negotiations and Informational Purposes Only.


We Are Not contracting to do any repairs at this time. We are simply providing approximate costs of the items in the report.

  • For Home Buyers

    When you are in the middle of purchasing a home, the inspections you get are going to point out a list of components or systems that need correction, repair or replacement. Knowing what needs repaired is only half the battle. Knowing how much the repairs will cost is the other half. 


    You need both parts, what and how much to make an educated decision on whether or not to continue with the purchase or at least have the estimates from Licensed Contractors to back up your negotiations with the seller.


    Typically, home inspection reports do not provide cost estimates. That is why we created this service.


    We have put together a repair cost estimate service to get you the answers you need, when you need them.

  • For Home Sellers

    When selling your home or property, you don’t want to have any unexpected surprises in the middle of the transaction that may cause the buyer to back out or you to have to scramble to get repairs done in a hurry which may cost you more than normal.


    If you already know something needs repair or replacement, you can get it done without being in a rush. This allows you to get multiple estimates from different contractors and or service providers. 


    It’s a great idea to have the home pre-inspected prior to putting it on the market for many reasons. We can help you with that too.


    We have great inspectors and can provide every type of inspection you want or need. This is especially true if you have lived in the home for a long time.


    You can then either get the work done prior to putting it on the market or just price the home accordingly knowing the buyer will need to get the repairs done and disclose it to them.

This service can save you hundreds of dollars and save you and or your Realtor the headache and hassle of getting contractors out to the property to give you an estimate on a tight timeline, sometimes only a day or two. Many contractors are now charging up to $400.00 to provide estimates.


Generally, you only need to know the approximate cost of repairs, during escrow, so you can make an educated decision to continue with the process and possibly negotiate with the seller. The estimate is not to make repairs now. We can get you real estimates and repairs after you close escrow with our “Certified Property Pro” list of service contractors.


Every contractor will provide you a different price and for different reasons. We strive to be in the ballpark and base our figures on our many years of experience in the trades and our relationships with our Certified Property Pros.


AS AN ADDED BONUS when you schedule a Repair Estimate Service, we provide, free of charge, a “Property Permit History Report ''. This report will show all prior building permits on the property that have been pulled over the years along with other useful information.


On occasion, this service is not available for certain properties. Most are.
